New Year, New Hope

First of all Happy New Year to everyone who reads this... that's both of you!

Any way, not really had too much time to be creative lately as have an exam this month and an essay due next. But I have managed to think of, and start writing a new idea for a script which , for the meantime at least, is titled 'Bobby'. I won't go into details yet but will most likely upload the first draft when it is completed.

Looked through some of my old scripts earlier, and the sitcoms do genuinely make me laugh although they are written very badly in certain areas. There are definitely some nice ideas within my older work and as long as I get a unique concept I'm hopeful that this could be the year where something happens on that front.

Did manage to write a handful of short sketches over Xmas and thought a couple were particular humorous - although with most sketches they can be a bit 'hit and miss'.

Next Monday sees me start my two week placement at Objective Productions in London. Excited? You effing bet I am! I'm glad that Jude was able to arrange it for January as this really has given me a new burst of hope and put my mind in a much more satisfied frame.

*** Not sure how to upload and attach a PDF file so I may create myself a simple website in the coming weeks. We'll see how it goes.

Rooney... by Newmy

Oh and I may as well stick up this vid, it is of goals that Wayne Rooney has scored. Only did it as a muck around to familiarise myself with Final Cut Pro, but I like the video so there ya go...

It's December

Ok... so I've only just made a post moments ago but sod it, I've been away for months so I'm making the most of the time I've got now.

Today is December 1st which means Xmas is around the corner. I'm sure you're all as excited as I am.

On my wishlist are :

Cheap DV camera to use as a deck .... any item of Pretty Green clothing... Blur cd from Hyde Park gig I went to... Ben Sherman clothing... and the news that Oasis have reunited.

More than this I just hope to have a happy time, and would like to wish you all the same.

Cheers.

The Return of The King

No! This is not a review on the Lord of the Rings. This post is actually the return of Liam Newman to blogspot.

After a couple of months out , I have decided to return and start this whole blogging thing again. I have forgot just how theraputhic writing this thing is, even if there are only a handful of people that read it.

I really don't have much to say, other then I have been offered 2 weeks work experience at Objective Productions in January! I have also come to the conclusion that I should learn how to use Motion... after spending £2000 on my Imac, Mac Book & Final Cut Studio software I owe it to myself to stop being ignorant and teach myself Motion...

It is a tedious procedure that involves much reading and going through online tutorals. Anyway, this was the result of an hour or two following a tutoral:

Not great I know, but it's a start....

On a different note...

Since my last blog back in the summer I have received a couple of questions. Although I answer all questions I have decided to post the best on here once a week... so make me laugh and get a mention on this space.

To kick things off this was a question put to me a couple of months back:

"Are you ready for love?"

From Elton J

..... well Elton, thanks for contacting me. In response to your question I was born ready.

For someone who didn't think he ahd much to say, I've not done too badly there (most of it is drivel but I'm sure things will improve as I get back into the swing of things).

I'll wrap this up now... appologies for the lack of blogs over the last few months but I promise I'm back to stay now. All the best, take it easy.
